I cleaned the cover and the front console. I cleaned the rollers and the print roller, the cord and wiped the unit down. I used air to blow dust away from the inside of the machine. dont miss out. Seems like a lot of sellers say "this is new", "that is new", "cleaned". I show detailed photos. "The carrier belt was BRAND new less than 1 year ago" is one of my favorites. "Cleaned" and clearly dirt and dust are visible is another good one. Don't be fooled by unscrupulous sellers buy from me I have a proven track record. I have serviced hundreds of thermofax machines--Not 5 or 10 units.

Serviced, Tested and Cleaned see photos, lamp or bulb is NEW it can be seen in the 4th photo. This Thermo- Fax the metal cover or case and metal base(note some stains, scratches and scuffs). Model 3M 45DG overall the machine looks great and works as it should. The clear carrier copy belt is NEW. Speed control is working, ran the machine at different speeds, test stencil made with the dial at 3:00 position. Print Roller can be seen in the 4th in great condition.

I have also included photos of the inside of the unit. Looks GREAT.

Please be aware Some models will Not work with regular thermal paper. I buy machines TOO, have one for sale email me. This machine is in good condition makes sharp stencils, WHY BUY UNTESTED, 9 out of 10 machines need serviced. I know because, I buy machines TOO. Just because the lamp/bulb lights does not mean it will make a stencil. If you have a 15 amp machine and cannot find a 15 amp lamp, I can convert your 15 amp machine to accept 12 amp lamp.

Movie testing machine below. Works like it should, (if the machine is hot) it will continue to run after light goes out to cool down the machine. ACTUAL Stencil made in video below. Dial was pointing at 3:00 position Note thermal paper and flash only going through machine, you may need to adjust the dial for best stencil lines.

Tips:

Flash must be laser printed or photo copied, NOT Ink jet or bubble jet.

Always run machine at fastest setting possible(at least until you are familiar with your machine) to avoid burning clear carrier belt.

Don't adjust speed when making stencil.

It is important to feed the stencil paper straight into the machine to avoid jamming the machine with the paper.

When the light comes, you need to pause slightly to allow to light to get hot. (slight pause 0.5-1 second)

When you insert the stencil paper (the machine comes on) make sure the light is on before continuing to insert stencil paper.

If the machine ever continues to run...and the light is on...to avoid melting the clear carrier belt--Quickly--unplug the machine open the cover and grasp back roller and turn the belt manually (it turns easiest turning the belt away from you). Practice turning the roller now so you know how.

If you ever insert the thermal paper and the machine comes on, including the light but it does not take the paper...to avoid melting the clear carrier belt--Quickly--unplug the machine open the cover and grasp back roller and turn the belt manually (it turns easiest turning the belt away from you). This machine uses Thermal paper, you must purchase yourself, no thermal paper included!
